Back to school

At the start of every year I like to get to know the kids as soon as possible.  I send out a post card or a letter as soon as I find out who is going to be in my classroom.

I also have some communication pieces that I give out at our back to school night.  I have a packet of classroom information that I give to the parents and a bag of "goodies' for the kids to take home with them.

Here are some samples of what will be going home at the beginning of the school year!

Check out First Grade Frame of Mind...she is having a linky party to share back to school letters.

  1. Thanks for coming to my linky party! Great info you shared!

  2. I LOVE your letters that you have made for back to school! I have just gotten my first teaching job and these will be very helpful! I was reading over your letter to families and I just wanted to let you know it says fell instead of feel. I am someone who ALWAYS makes those mistakes and just wanted to let you know! Thanks again for all the lovely ideas! :)

  4. Your B2S postcard is perfect for a beach themed classroom! I have always used Dollar Store ones in the past but would love to use themed ones. Would you mind sharing your file?

  5. I am doing a nautical theme for my Kinder classroom this year! I love the postcard and would very much appreciate it if you could share the template? Thanks in advance!
